The Funky Forest was created initially so my efforts to manage the Forestville Holiday Faire would be more official, so to speak. As a non-profit, I’m now eligible for certain grants that I wasn’t eligible for as an individual, and it helps potential donors feel more comfortable making contributions. Plus, I obtained my tax-exempt certificate, so donations to The Funky Forest are tax-deductible!
Events sponsored by The Funky Forest will be managed with the participants in mind. Booth fees will be reasonable, and applications will be streamlined whenever possible.
The first Forestville Holiday Faire was in December 2023. The event was a huge success, so it was done again in December 2024. The second faire was bigger than the first one, with more vendors, more entertainment, and more guests.
And now… the planning for the 2025 Forestville Holiday Faire has gone great, and a fantastic event is almost here! Planning started back in January, and with more local businesses involved than last year, more vendors booked, and more entertainment in place, it’s sure to be a great time!
There have been three Mardi Gras parties at downtown Forestville’s Oaks Park over the past few years, although there was not one in 2025.
Well, it’s back! Get ready for a 2026 Mardi Gras party that just happens to land on Valentine’s Day!
This double-duty party is destined to be a great time! Live music by Forestville’s own Bourbon Street Brass Band will set the stage for the party, and local food and craft vendors will round out the event. One more thing… a drink booth put on by The Funky Forest will make sure no one goes thirsty. Look for beer, wine, and you guessed it…
